Squelching the rumor

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today denied rumors that he is considering a run for the Presidency.

The Senator, best known for taking principled stands against Republicans, dismissed the reports as "baseless speculation."

No reporters attended the McCain press conference, as they were all covering the "Obama walks on water" event on the Sea of Galilee.

For weeks, the blogosphere has been abuzz with chatter speculating that the former POW and supporter of amnesty for illegal immigrants may soon start to build an organization, raise funds, get out his message, espouse the superiority of his experience, ideas, and ideology, champion the cause of freedom, and point out the numerous weaknesses in the one declared candidate.
